Abstract

This article explores key aspects of the spatial redevelopment of the interior of the monastery and church in Kreševo, with a special emphasis on the artistic interventions that enabled the harmonization of tradition and modern artistic tendencies. Through a detailed review of elements such as the altar mosaic, ambo, baptistery, altar, tabernacle and other important segments, it will be considered how the redevelopment enabled the creation of a space that meets the aesthetic, functional and spiritual needs of the community, while at the same time preserving a deep historical and cultural heritage. The redevelopment of the interior of the monastery of St. Kate and the church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kreševo represents an important moment in the cultural and spiritual history of this historical complex. The reconstruction was not just a technical renovation of the space, but a deep reflection on the symbolism, aesthetics and functionality of the religious space. Each element of the redevelopment was carefully considered and implemented with the aim of preserving the authenticity of the space, which allowed the church to maintain its historical importance, while at the same time becoming a space for contemporary spiritual practices.
