Abstract

The paper The Dynamism of the Bull explores the multilayered symbolism of the bull in history, art, and philosophy, with a special focus on the concept of dynamism in visual expression. As an archetypal symbol of strength, power, and combativeness, the bull has inspired countless myths, rituals, and works of art throughout the centuries. In the context of the twentieth century, the notion of dynamism was particularly developed within Italian Futurism, whose representatives sought to depict the movement and energy of the modern age through optical illusions and the fragmentation of form. The author examines this concept through personal sculptural practice, where the motif of the bull becomes a means of expressing inner movement and tension without the use of additional visual elements, but rather through the stylization of form. This approach results in a unique interpretation of dynamism that unites traditional symbolism with modern artistic expression.
